PHIL EDWARDS

Managing Director

Phil Edwards is an award-winning Landscape Architect with over 35 years of built environment experience. He established Coolth Inc. in 2014 with a desire to make green infrastructure solutions more accessible to both the public and private sectors.

Phil combines his deep knowledge of architecture, horticulture, design and water policy to deliver outcomes for clients that are as sustainable and nurturing as they are beautiful.

Prior to founding Coolth, Phil worked in Integrated Water Management for Melbourne Water where he led projects across Australia and gained a deep understanding of how water policy interrelates with design and construction considerations.  Early in his career, he also worked for a RSA in Seattle, United States, where he was first introduced to cutting edge sustainability concepts, LID and Living Architecture. This experience began a lifelong passion for green infrastructure and how it can enhance the livability for both individuals and communities.

Phil believes deeply in the power of collaboration to deliver optimal outcomes and he seeks opportunities to share knowledge across his national and international networks.  In 2017 Phil was invited to travel with a Victorian trade mission to Kunshan, China as part of an integrated water management knowledge sharing group.

Phil is the recipient of a Master Landscaper’s Award for rooftop gardens.
